Microsoft to start disclosing Azure quarterly revenue as company consolidates business units

Microsoft will begin reporting Azure's quarterly revenue in dollars for the first time, as part of consolidating its operating segments from three to two. The change provides investors with clearer visibility into its cloud business, which has been a major beneficiary of the artificial intelligence boom. Azure's reported revenue will exclude certain services like GitHub, Security Copilot, and healthcare cloud products.
