Answers anchored to today

When you ask Mu about the news, the weather, or the markets, the question is anchored to the day you ask it. The agent treats that as a fact: your request has a date, and the answer should reflect what is known as of that date. That means Mu does not silently return a cached result from last week or a forecast that expired yesterday. It checks the freshness of the data it retrieves and tells you what it knows.

If the news search only finds articles from a day or two ago, the answer leads with that caveat before listing the stories. If the weather data is a few hours old, it says so. This is not about claiming perfection — data sources lag, and sometimes the most recent available information is not truly current. But you deserve to know the gap. The trust is in the honesty of that disclosure, not in a promise of real-time accuracy.

This is a small design choice, but it matters for daily use. You are not guessing whether the answer is stale. You are not wondering if the market price is from today or yesterday. Mu takes the date of your request seriously and makes the boundary visible. That is part of what it means to build a tool that serves you, not your attention.
