Guarded answers survive replay

Mu’s news streaming now remembers the guardrails. When you ask for recent news, the answer is built with a caveat attached to the first visible line โ€” a plain statement of how fresh the search results are. That caveat used to vanish during reconnection: if the stream was interrupted or the answer finalized and later replayed, the text could appear without the preliminary note, making older data sound current. That is no longer the case.

The change is simple. The freshness-guarded wording is now part of the answer text itself, not a temporary header. When the stream is finalized or a client reconnects and receives the stored answer, the caveat replays with it. A person sees the same honest disclosure whether they read the answer as it streams or pick it up later. This protects the wording around available evidence โ€” it does not invent coverage that does not exist.

This refinement does not make mu’s news feed more complete. It does not guarantee same-day coverage for every topic. It only ensures that when the answer is delivered, the caveat about result freshness is not stripped out. The trade-off is that the answer starts with a line that may feel redundant to a returning reader, but it is better than implying recency where it does not hold. Mu will continue to surface news as its search agents find it, and will continue to be honest about the gap.
