A 34-year-old woman, Natalie McDonald, and her seven-year-old niece, Valentina Foster, died in a house fire in Grangetown, near Middlesbrough. Two men, aged 23 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of murder, and police are not ruling out links to organised crime. Family members paid tribute to the victims, describing Natalie as "bright and bubbly" and Valentina as a "cute little kid."
