Salesforce shares surged 11% after the company reported fiscal second-quarter earnings and revenue that exceeded analyst estimates, with net income jumping 87% to $3.53 billion partly due to a $2.6 billion gain from its stake in AI startup Anthropic. The company also raised its full-year guidance and announced a new AI plugin called Claudeforce, as well as a $1.6 billion contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
