Solar stocks rose in premarket trading after President Trump imposed a 15% tariff on polysilicon products under Section 232, aiming to protect U.S. solar supply chains from Chinese competition. First Solar gained over 7%, Solaredge rose 1%, and the Invesco Solar ETF was up 4%. The executive order also introduced minimum prices for related imports.
