Allah is praised for revealing the Quran as a perfect, upright book to warn disbelievers of severe punishment and to give believers who do good the promise of an eternal reward. It condemns those who claim Allah has offspring as uttering lies without knowledge, and advises the Prophet not to grieve himself to death over their denial. The passage also states that whatever is on earth is made as an adornment to test who does the best deeds.
