Cairngorm residents say wildfire response 'too slow'

Residents of Cairngorm criticised the response to a wildfire that burned for 10 days, saying the declaration of a major incident and evacuation of Nethy Bridge came too late. Community council leader Sandy McCook stated the fire could have been stopped earlier and there was insufficient communication from the Scottish government, with decisions made remotely from Edinburgh.
