Venus Aerospace raises $90M Series B to build a new kind of rocket engine

Venus Aerospace raised $90 million in Series B funding to advance its Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine (RDRE), which was originally developed for hypersonic passenger jets. After a successful test flight, the company pivoted toward military applications, focusing on hypersonic weapons and high-speed space vehicles. The funding, led by Mercury Fund with participation from Lockheed Martin Ventures, will support testing and development with potential customers.
