Apple to increase spend with Broadcom to produce billions more U.S. chips

Apple announced a new six-year, over $30 billion commitment with Broadcom to design and produce custom silicon and wireless components, expected to result in more than 15 billion U.S.-made chips. The deal expands Broadcom’s Fort Collins, Colorado facility with a $1.5 billion investment, supporting American jobs and Apple’s goal of building an end-to-end silicon supply chain in the U.S.
