UEFA and its national associations will not participate in FIFA competitions

UEFA and its 55 member associations unanimously reject FIFA's proposal to sell ownership interests in the World Cup and other competitions to private investors, calling it an irresponsible and secretive plan that would fundamentally change football. They argue that commercial return would become the primary driver of decisions on competition formats and the international calendar, undermining the sport's legacy. As a result, UEFA and its national associations will not participate in FIFA competitions.
